The Crump Group Inc. is a family-owned and operated premium pet treat manufacturer. Started in 2006, we have successfully established 3 market leading brands (Caledon Farms, Crumps Naturals and Dog Delights) distributed throughout Canada and the United States. We officially started production in our North Carolina facility in August 2023, we continue to ramp up production in this facility and we are planning an $85M expansion.
Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Marketing Director for our located in Mississauga, ON. This role reports into the VP, Marketing, Strategy, Integrated Planning & Corporate Affairs.
Role scope:
We’ve outgrown our family garage but our values remain the same! We are excited to welcome a new Marketing Director as we build our forever brands. A strong, thoughtful leader who is energized by driving reach, awareness, and new households across Canada, the US, and internationally across a portfolio of pet brands.
Responsibilities:
Lead, inspire, and develop a team of fantastic direct reports, in line with The Crump Group values and key leadership competencies across brand managers, social, and graphic designers
Think broadly and strategically to ground brand & channel plans in strategic purpose, shopper-first mindset, and a strong understanding of the why
Partner with Digital, Sales, and GTM Strategy teams to drive shared business results
Bring end-to-end perspective, collaborating with downstream Supply Chain and Ops teams for flawless execution
Lead relationship with our agencies to advance our brand platforms and consumer data & research initiatives to new spaces
Develop and deploy marketing budget to drive brand awareness and new household conversion, analyzing marketing programs and adapting to business trends
Champion the annual brand planning process and innovation pipelines to evolve and challenge the pet category
Bring our brands vividly to life across packaging, website, trade show design, advertising and new product launch marketing
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; MBA an asset
7-10 years’ relevant experience in CPG industry
Excellent communication & brand storytelling skills
Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint; Adobe suite an asset
Adaptability in a fast-paced environment
Highly collaborative with cross-functional teams
Innovative and entrepreneurial growth mindset
Progressive brand marketing experience; social, digital marketing, PR, experiential an asset
Deep experience in consumer goods; pet industry an asset
Team leadership with direct reports
Strong understanding of Canada/USA retail landscape
