Position Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Production Manager to lead and elevate our manufacturing operations in a fast-paced OEM environment. This is a high-impact leadership role at our manufacturing facility, where safety, quality, and efficiency are paramount. The successful candidate will oversee daily production activities in departments including Metal Fabrication, Assembly, Refrigeration, Inventory and Logistics. Ensuring compliance with HABCO standards and drive continuous improvement to support our commitment to world-class manufacturing.


As the Production Manager, you will be responsible for optimizing production workflows, managing cross-functional teams, and aligning operations with our strategic goals. You will work closely with engineering, quality, supply chain, and senior leadership to ensure that every product leaving our floor reflects the integrity and excellence our clients expect from a top-tier OEM partner.

Main Responsibilities

· Manage the overall production process including Metal Fabrication, Assembly, Refrigeration, Inventory and Logistics

· A champion of Health & Safety, supporting the JH&S committee to meet or exceed all company initiatives and requirements

· Guide a culture of support, teamwork and collaboration where challenges are identified, solutions are developed and acted upon through a team approach and commitment.

· Having a continuous improvement mindset with the ability to recognize opportunities, coordinate game plans for change, lead and mentor necessary actions, monitor and sustaining desired results.

· Develop, manage and execute to KPI’s relating to product quality, assembly efficiency, and more

· Compile and report on metrics to senior management on a weekly/monthly basis (efficiency, RPC, utilization, defect, etc.)

· A strong team player yourself, fully supporting all other departments as it relates to the overall success of our organization.

· Bring a ‘roll up your sleeves’ approach in mentoring and developing. Encouraging a bottom-up management approach where every individual has a voice in the team’s overall growth.

· Provide oversight to inventory controls, movement and replenishment in conjunction with scheduling and procurement team.

· Conduct performance evaluations and annual reviews, communicating future deliverables.

· Active member in company culture initiatives and programs

· Other duties as assigned pertaining to the success of the company’s operations.


Qualifications

MUST HAVE Permanent Residence status or Canadian Citizenship to be considered

· A post-secondary education Manufacturing, Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience)

· Must have a MINIMUM of 5 years’ supervisory experience in an OEM manufacturing environment.

· Specific experience in sheet metal fabrication and assembly desired.

· Experience with ISO 9001:2015 and QMS structure

· Strong understanding of production planning, scheduling, and workflow management.

· Understanding of Lean Manufacturing, 5S and continuous improvement (preference given to applicants with green belt or higher)

· Proficient in ERP/MRP systems, production reporting tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.

· A demonstrated ability to drive change through continuous improvement

· Understanding of refrigeration cycle and assembly considered an asset

· Clear and direct communicator who can improve accountability, engagement and ownership across all team members

· Results driven individual who executes action items in a timely and concise manner

· You act with urgency, working towards solutions in an expedient manner wherever possible.
