We are seeking a highly skilled & collaborative Information Technology & Business Systems Specialist to join our growing team, providing business and IT system integration support across critical existing and new systems, including ERP (Acumatica) and e-commerce platforms (BigCommerce). This is a new role and will focus on gathering and documenting business needs, assessing & enhancing tech stack, supporting system upgrades, troubleshooting processing issues, and enhancing system processes. The ideal candidate will work closely with both business teams and software solution partners to deliver effective solutions and ensure seamless system integration, upgrades, and contributing to ongoing digital transformation and process improvement. The ideal candidate is strategic and systems fluent, while willing and able to ‘roll up their sleeves’ to support in testing and general IT support as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Business & Technical Integration: Act as a liaison between internal business function owners, and external solution providers to gather, analyze, and document needs and business processes. Ensure seamless integration with other business systems and processes.
Project Management & Technical Leadership: Lead and manage technical projects, including ERP upgrades, website development/upgrade, and other technology implementations
ERP & E-Commerce Platform Management: Assist with the management, maintenance, and enhancement of ERP and e-commerce platforms, ensuring optimal performance, functionality, and integration with back-end systems.
System Upgrades & Testing: Oversee and support application software upgrades, including ERP and e-commerce platforms in collaboration with third party support teams. Conduct and document thorough testing and validation of new or updated processes to ensure successful deployment. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure end-to-end delivery.
Continuous Improvement: Identify and recommend opportunities for tech stack system and process improvement (for example BI, CRM, MRP extension, etc.), contributing to continuous business optimization and BCPCs digitalization journey. Provide technical input into project-based activities, including upgrades and new initiatives.
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation for system configurations, technical processes, and user guidelines. Generate regular reports on system performance, issues, and upgrades.
Security & Compliance: In partnership with external IT infrastructure support, ensure systems are compliant with security standards and regulatory requirements, particularly in the context of data privacy, financial transactions, and supply chain operations.
Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Provide first-line technical support for ERP, e-commerce, and other business information systems. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to system performance, integration, and user experience. Participate in an on-call rotation to provide off-hours production support as needed, ensuring high availability and reliability of business-critical systems.
Vendor Management: Manage relationship with tech partners, including Skycomp, and other third party vendors, ensuring effective communication and managing vendor performance for ongoing support.
Safety & Compliance: Prioritize safety in all work activities, including monitoring vendor and contractor safety during project execution and system-related tasks.
Required Qualifications:
Experience: At least 3+ years of experience in technical project management, ideally with experience in manufacturing/logistics (especially in the frozen supply chain), CPG, or retail industries.
Technical Background: Solid understanding of ERP systems (Acumatica, Dynamics, SAP, etc.) and e-commerce platforms. Hands-on experience with system upgrades and third-party integrations.
Project Management: Proven project management experience, with a strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools (Agile, Waterfall). PMP or similar certification is a plus.
Business Acumen: Strong understanding of business processes and technology solutions within the supply chain, logistics, and retail sectors.
Vendor Management: Experience managing relationships with third-party vendors and technology partners.
