How You’ll Be Contributing:

  • Achieve Results: Develop and implement plans to meet or exceed sales targets.

  • Set Goals: Create and execute Objectives, Goals, Strategies, and Measures (OGSM) for the region.

  • Support Sales Reps: Visit pet specialty stores in Western Canada and Ontario with sales reps and provide performance feedback.

  • Build Relationships: Strengthen connections with key accounts in your region.

  • Engage in Events: Participate in trade shows, conferences, and social events to enhance market presence.

  • Drive Performance: Apply a disciplined approach to market opportunities and sales performance.

  • Manage HR: Assist with recruiting, training, coaching, and ensuring compliance with policies.

  • Empower Your Team: Motivate and develop your team to innovate and excel in their roles.

  • Stay Competitive: Keep updated on industry trends and competitive issues.

  • Ensure Accuracy: Complete sales documentation accurately and on time.

  • Collaborate: Work with Senior Management to establish regional business plans and objectives. Work with other key departments such as operations and marketing.

We'd Love to Hear from You if You Have:

  • A college diploma or bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent industry experience.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, in English.

  • Proven leadership skills to motivate and lead a sales team.

  • A strong sense of urgency, ownership, and accountability.

  • Willingness to travel throughout Western Canada and Ontario (30% travel required).

  • Strong business acumen: experience in developing and executing sales and marketing strategies.

  • In-depth understanding of industry trends and dynamics.

  • Strong communication, problem-solving, negotiation, collaboration and analytical skills. You are adaptable to a changing environment and take on challenges with an optimistic outlook.

  • Knowledge of the consumer-packaged goods and pet specialty retail industry (an asset).

  • Outstanding skills in needs analysis, business justification, negotiating, and closing deals.

  • Proficiency in Windows and MS Office.
