What We're Looking For:

We are seeking a vibrant personality to take our business in Western Canada to the next level. This role requires your ability to wear multiple hats to service our existing partners, and discover and close new, meaningful ones.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve and exceed sales targets in your designated territory (British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Yukon, Northwest Territories & Nunavut).

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with pet specialty retailers, veterinarians, and distributors, serving as a trusted advisor and product expert.

  • Conduct in-person meetings and engaging presentations to showcase the benefits of our pet nutrition products.

  • Identify new business opportunities, prospect potential customers, and generate leads through networking, referrals, and industry events.

  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and offering ongoing support and training to our partners.

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market insights, and competitor activities to continuously adapt and improve our sales strategies.

  • Utilize Salesforce or other CRM tools to track sales activities, pipeline, and customer interactions

  • Deliver compelling sales presentations and negotiate contracts with customers

  • Provide leadership and guidance to sales team members, if applicable

  • Be a joyful delight to work with

Qualifications

  • Proven track record of success in outside sales, running a large geography, preferably in the pet industry or scientific / health related fields.

  • Passion for pets and a genuine belief in the power of holistic pet nutrition.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with customers and accounts at all levels.

  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of working independently.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize and meet deadlines.

  • Willingness to travel within your assigned territory to nurture relationships and expand our customer base. Travel expectations can include up to 75% overnight travel with occasional weekend or evening responsibilities for work-related events.

  • Knowledge of pet nutrition, dietary requirements, and industry trends is a plus.

  • Ability to learn and easily convey technical scientific information.

  • Competitive base salary with uncapped commission structure to reward your sales achievements. This role has a salary of $65,000 - $78,000 CA DOE; total annual pay with OTE is $95,000+ first year (uncapped) .
